Description:
The Rosenberg Unoboxes-ME are designed to handle air volumes with higher temperatures. Typical applications are to exhaust kitchens, production shops and other areas where polluted air has to be exhausted.
Note for use in kitchen exhaust:
The Unobox-ME is suitable for use in kitchen exhaust according to VDI 2052. A removable door maintanance, an integreated drip pan with condensate drain connection and the special sealing lips are also part of the delivery standard such as the outside of the air stream arranged engine.
In the kitchen exhaust must be used a insulating connection (Type: DS).

Casing:
The housing supporting frames are double chamber aluminum profiles with corners made of plastic and double skinned (20mm) galvanized steel panels insulated with non-inflammable, noise and temperature insulating fibreglass mats. Outlet and side panel can be changed. The base plat is designed as an integreated drip tray.

Impellers:
The impellers together with the hubs are balanced dynamically at two levels according to quality levels G2.5 to DIN 1940.
The fans are equipped with high efficiency backward curved centrifugal impellers made of aluminum.
The complete motor-impeller assembly can be removed.

Motor and motor protection:
All Rosenberg fans are equipped with direct driven external rotor motors. All our fans have motor protection through thermal contacts in the motor windings as standard. The motors apply to protection class IP44/IP54.
The drive has due to an external rotor motor a space saving, compact and attractive design. The motor is fitted within the impeller, which enables the best possible cooling. For this reason a 100% variable speed control can be guaranteed. V-belts, additional tension bars and motor mounting devices are not necessary. Only well-dimensions ball-bearings, fitted on both sides and life time greased are used.
Both ball-bearing seats are ground to high precision in one work process to eliminate any vibrations.
External rotor motors have extremely low starting currents. The windings comply to isolation class F.
In addition the windings have a standard moisture impregnation.

By default pre-mounted on the front side of the housing repair switch. The supply of power is thus made to the isolator.

Air performance curves:
The performance curves for these fan types have been measured in mounting position A (free inlet; free outlet) and indicate the pressure increase ∆pfa as a function of the air flow.
Noise levels:
The bordered values printed in the performance curve diagrams show the "A" weighted LWA6 sound power level (fan outlet. Determination of "A" weighted LWA5 sound power level at fan inlet:
LWA5 [dB(A)] = LWA6 [dB(A)] - 4 dB
The "A" weighted sond pressure level LpA at a distance of 1 metre is calculated approximately by deducting 7 dB(A) from the "A" weighted sound power level. It is important to note that the reflection and room characteristic as well as natural frequencies influence the sound pressure levels a different way. The relative octave sound power level LWArel at octave medium frequency you can find on the table on each fan type page.

One side of the casing is open as standard. The integrated drip tray in the bottom plate of the Unobox-ME also use in the kitchen exhaust area is possible, the drainage plug is supplied loose. The accumulated fat in the exhaust air is passed through special sealing lips of the inside of the housing into the tub and can be discharged via the condensate drain.
