How does the energy supply of the future look? Power generation by wind turbines is increasingly in the focus of the electricity-supplying companies due to energy transition measures adopted by the German Federal Government. An important part of a wind turbine is the protection of the individual components from overheating. No matter whether nacelle ventilation, generator cooling, switch cabinet ventilation, tower air cooling or inverter and transformer cooling - our fans are suitable for every demand in the wind turbine area. Through long years of know-how, these fans are designed for the highest technical demands.
The nacelle of a wind turbine is home to many high-tech components which give off heat to the environment. Removal of this heat is absolutely necessary for trouble-free operation of the system. Our fans in the DRA, AND and DQ/DR series, for example, can do this.
Kinetic energy is converted into electrical energy in the generator. Loss of heat occurs during this conversion. This heat must be diverted to protect the generator from overheating. Our fans in the DRA series are ideally suited for this task.
Switch cabinets are essential for perfectly coordinating the components of a wind turbine. Here, too, sufficient heat dissipation is required to protect sensitive electrical components from overheating. Our free running impellers in various designs, as well as fans in the ERA series, have been specifically designed for this application.
Wind turbine tower cooling is only possible with large volume flows. For this reason, various axial fans, as well as free-running impellers with standard motors in the DKNM/DKNB/DKNR series are used here.
The cooling of other electronic components, such as converters or transformers, is also no problem for our individually designed fans. It does not matter whether the cooling is to be done in the nacelle or at the base of a wind turbine.
